Perhaps by now you've found a few places to make improvements. Pantries can be a great resource for storing all sorts of kitchen items.  But, if you've discovered yours isn't quite serving you, we've got tips on how to improve your kitchen pantry.

First, consider vertical storage. Add high shelves for those items you don't use often (this is a great place for roasting pans, the ice cream maker, etc).  You can also add hooks for brooms, grocery bags, and pet leashes.

If your pantry has shelves, consider adding under-shelf baskets. These are useful for storing produce like potatoes and onions, snacks, extra dish towels and other items.

Pantries make it easy to organize items by use too. You can group all of your baking supplies together, using clear storage boxes for small items like vanilla, baking powder, and spices. Similarly, you can group all of your wines together and use a wine rack to keep everything neat.

Have a section where kids can grab healthy on-the-go snacks too.  A lower shelf with a variety of snack options makes life easier for everyone!

Finally, if you can, store bulk items elsewhere. 12 rolls of paper towels can take up valuable pantry space! Designating a spot in the garage, or even in a spare bedroom closet for these things will help you keep your pantry organized!
