Reasons to move to Grand Junction Colorado
Dated: October 20 2020
It's no secret that living in Colorado can be an awesome experience. The high peaks of the Rockies, the skiing, and the breathtaking views in all directions make it a wonderful place to live. However, there's another aspect to Colorado that you may not be as familiar with: the Western Slope. Reasons to move to Grand Junction, Colorado, on Colorado's Western Slope, are plentiful! Let's look specifically at living in the downtown area of Grand Junction.
1. Everything retail-related is near by. From clothing stores to brew pubs, groceries to health care, everything is close in downtown Grand Junction. You can practically walk or bike to almost everything you need, including lunch or dinner from great restaurants!
2. Recreation is close too! From Lincoln Park's 9 hole golf course to the Riverfront Trail, yoga studios to mountain biking, all of it is close to downtown! The Lunch Loop mountain bike trails are a scant 6 minutes from downtown and, with the addition of a new paved path, accessing these trails on your bike, from downtown, is easy too.
3. Lots of housing options exist in the downtown area. From Victorian homes to new construction, you can find it all in the 81501 zip code! Condos and single family homes are in abundance here.
4. The city area is home to a great vibe. From Art on the Corner on Main Street to a huge variety of coffee shops, festivals, and concernts, something artistic is always going on. We have first Friday art walks and events at the Art Center on 7th street every month too.
These are just a few of the reasons to move to Grand Junction. This doesn't include our 300+ days of sunshine, massive amount of hiking, biking and running trails, nearby ski resort, popular restaurants, or burgeoning tech industry. If you're looking for more reasons to move here, give us a call! We'd love to show you around.
