The North Area of Grand Junction

There are many great areas to live in Grand Junction. Orchard Mesa, Palisade, the Southeast, Redlands, and downtown all offer different amenities and home styles. One popular area these days is the North Area. The North and Northwest areas of Grand Junction, zip codes 81506 and 81505, are prime locations for new home construction and older neighborhoods with large lots.

One of the biggest benefits of living in the North area is the size of lots. Straight north of downtown, between 15th street and 24 road (roughly) are many older neighborhoods with mature landscaping and larger lots. For those with families, especially, having a larger yard is important.

For others, new construction is what they're looking for, and there is plenty of that happening in the North area as well! It's possible to find a brand new construction home here, and the best thing is that it's still close to all the great amenities Grand Junction has to offer!

Canyonview Park

North area homes are close to parks, like Canyonview, which offers courts, a dog park, huge walking area, etc. They're close to both hospitals, grocery stores (City Market has 2 locations not far from the North area, and Safeway has 1.), and restaurants like the Ale House, Spoons, and all of those along Horizon Drive and the 24 road corridor.

It's a quick drive to bike trails and local golf courses and accessing I-70 is a breeze, as there are entrances on Horizon Drive and 24 road. That means getting to Powderhorn, Denver, and Salt Lake is easy too!

The North area offers quiet neighborhoods and vistas of the Grand Mesa, Bookcliffs, and Colorado Monument.  If you're considering a move and want to find a home in this area, let us know! We'd love to help. In the meantime, start your home search here.
